The Consultants and Systems Integrators (CSI) Interchange was recently held at the PSSC in Montpellier, France June 3-5. The CSI Interchange is Europe’s largest event, designed specifically for IBM Business Partners, IT Consultants and Integrators, in the Computer Services Industry. This year’s theme was Dynamic Infrastructure, the intelligent information technology foundation that will help clients be more resilient, better positioned for growth and full participants in a smarter planet.
Clients tell us their infrastructures are hard to manage, their energy costs are too high, they're running out of floor space, and they're not getting the best use of their systems and services. In the past, they've had to make trade-offs and settle for "good enough" solutions. That all changes - starting now. IBM has launched its Dynamic Infrastructure initiative, its point-of-view on how organisations of all sizes can create streamlined, self-managing infrastructures. Dynamic Infrastructure is the intelligent information technology foundation that will help clients be more resilient, better positioned for growth and fully participate towards the vision of a smarter planet.
Teaming together, we can help clients build secure, easy-to-use, automated solutions that reduce costs, improve service levels and better manage risk. In fact, several client pain points offer a perfect opportunity to start a conversation about Dynamic Infrastructure solutions.
As the global economy continues to shift, organisations supported by a dynamic infrastructure are uniquely positioned to win. This is a significant moment in time. IDC estimates the market opportunity for software, servers, technologies and services to manage the world’s converged IT and physical infrastructure to be $122 billion by 2012. And, with nearly $1 trillion being invested in stimulus packages in countries around the world to invigorate our global economy, this is a great opportunity for us to collaborate and help our worldwide clients.
The CSI Interchange held main tent sessions with key IBM leaders that shared their vision around IBM’s smarter planet agenda and how Dynamic Infrastructure helps to build a smarter planet as well as present IBM’s position on Cloud Computing, Green and Beyond and our Global Technology Outlook. Leaders from SAP and Oracle explained how their solutions fit within a dynamic infrastructure.
There were over 20 elective sessions based on the pillars of Dynamic Infrastructure, namely Virtualization and Consolidation, Energy Efficiency, Service and Asset Management, Business Resiliency and Security, Information Infrastructure and Cloud Computing.
Please visit the 2009 CSI Interchange website to view the main tent sessions (you can view just the presentation or listen to the live presentation video) and the elective sessions. This information will help you to educate you on IBM’s Dynamic Infrastructure initiative and provide you key information you can share with your clients.
