Summary: The effects of the ‘credit crunch’ have changed the dynamics within the mortgage industry. With lenders still squeezed by lack of liquidity and uncertainty around the need for further capital injections, the industry has been cutting costs and looking for ways to streamline processes. It is within this backdrop that new e-commerce and IT investment strategies need to be implemented across the industry. The CML’s first annual IT mortgage solutions conference will address the major issues facing lenders, bring together heads of IT and senior mortgage professionals as well as directors and chief executives to help develop joint-up-thinking across lenders.
