A Service Oriented Approach to NEC

In the June 2007 edition of RUSI Defence Systems, he and Grant Hume in their article ‘The Path to Doing Better Things; A Service Oriented Approach to Supporting Future Operations’, argued that an SOA approach to developing information systems was a prerequisite to the future successful delivery of NEC. In this article, Rob Jones contends that the time is now right for the adoption of this approach in supporting current operations through embracing available technology and adopting a portfolio approach to the delivery of End to End (E2E) Capabilities, both ISTAR and Logistic.
