A Unique End to a Unique Conference: The Blogger Open By Mitch Cohen
Guest Blogger
What is the Blogger Open? The Blogger Open is a great example of
what the community brings to Lotusphere. The event takes place each
year after the Closing General Session. This year 89 people headed over
to the Disney Fantasia Miniature Golf course to keep the Lotusphere fun going just a bit longer.
There is a whole other side to the Blogger Open, which is contributing to the community. Over the last three years Mike McGarel has developed an XPages based site
to handle registration and other logistics for the Blogger Open.
This year not only did Mike continue to improve the site, but he also
contributed the code back to OpenNTF as a new project named Event Signup.
You can view photos of this years event here and here.
The Blogger Openis a terrific example of what is so special about the Lotusphere Community, and the best way to wrap up Lotusphere.
Special thanks to our 2012 event sponsors: Northern Collaborative Technologies, GSX, Notes In 9
