Southwestern/Great American, Inc. (SWGA), out of Nashville, Tennessee, is a diversified, growing, international employee-owned corporation that spawns student-led start-up companies with capital from SWGA’s business incubator. For years SWGA relied on SAP and Microsoft® Windows®-based applications to manage its business, despite the poor integration between the two environments, particularly at the infrastructure level. Separate backup, restore and archive procedures were required, and there were two disaster recovery solutions in place.
